Annie Leibovitz

Annie Leibovitz is one of the most famous modern-day photographers, known for her very dramatic photos that make the people in her photos seem outer worldly.


    I didn't realize that she was the one who took this legendary photo of two of the best football players in history. Her work is amazing and being able to take a photo like this just shows how much influence she has as an artist. I remember seeing this photo and being in awe at the sheer brilliance behind the meaning of this photo. 
    Annie Leibovitz's photography is phenomenal, she shows a very dramatic side of the people in her photos. But it's that dramatic side that makes her photos really stand out, it feels like her photos can be in fantasy books or fantasy shows. Its really amazing to look at the amount of detail in her photos.

This photo shows the amount of detail she is willing to put into her work to truly show the greatness of her photos. I feel like if someone described to me a king and queen of a kingdom in a fantasy show, game, or book, this is what I would think of. Her photos stand out because of her dedication to the photo. To be in one of her photos would be an amazing moment.

                    Photo Essay: Eugene Richards      This book was a big inspiration for me since for my final I wanted to tell a story with my photos.            Fred Ritchin's, "After Photography"       While reading this article the section "Photography the Future so a Version of it Does Not Happen" really stuck out to me. I believe it stuck out to me because it said you can use digital photography to show a bad future that can happen if we continue to do the things we normally do. It talked about a photo of an iceberg and using Photoshop to show how the iceberg will completely melt and raise sea levels if we continue with this level of global warming. I believe that a simple photo being altered like that could change a few people's decisions, which is what the world needs.     Also in that same part of the article, it said that the police used digital photos to help find children that have been lost.
